Mexico Mission Trip!

7 women and 1 man traveled to Piedras Negras, Mexico from July 14 - 21, 2007 to work with our brothers and sisters in the Uno en el Espiritu Presbyterian Church. Piedras Negras is across the US/Mexican border from the small town of Eagle Pass, Tx and 2.5 hours from San Antonio, Tx. During the week we enjoyed fellowship, devotions, great meals, painting, Vacation Bible School, sightseeing, shopping, and deepened our relationship with God.   Proyecto Amistad coordinator Chris McReynolds served as our trip coordinator and guide. Proyecto Amistad is a joint ministry of the Presbyterian Church USA and the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico. WPC has supported Proyecto Amistad and UEEE since 1996.

Brenda can't speak Spanish and Isabelle can't speak English but together,  thru the Holy Spirit and a Spanish/English dictionary, they shared recipes. Isabelle prepared one of our delicious home cooked meals for lunch. Muy delicioso!

We were blessed with the opportunity to assist Mauro and Maria paint their house after the April 2007 tornado ripped off the roof of their home. We also painted the kitchen and living room.
